Happy New Year!!!!

It's been a while since I have been on the site... what can I say life gets in the way.  I hope the new year is off to a great start for you because it is for me!!!!  I can't believe it's almost 2012 and it's exactly 4 months until my birthday.  Time flies but I'm ready can't wait actually.  I am behind the scenes getting some things in order with getting some things on this list done.  I hope to have an update next weekend.  The snake one is really freaking me out though.  I could have been done that but I am just too chicken hahaha.  I know I know I have to just get over it and do it but I'm scared to.  This is already shaping up to be a busy year for me so stay tune the fun is just beginning.

Check and done!!!!

So guess what I did yesterday?!?!?!?! Well I started by taking my nephew out to eat… as you can see his face got more than his tummy.  He wasn’t too interested in eating at all but he was a good sport.  He definitely found plenty to keep him busy.

I just love that lil man

The main event was awesome though… wait for it!!!   I took my nephew to the aquarium and it was by far one of the most memorable things I’ve done in a long time.  I am not sure how he felt about it but he seemed really amazed by the fish and the water.  It was so beautiful to see him just look and press his little face against the glass like he wanted to get in.  I started to think when the last time I went to an aquarium was and for the life of me I really don’t know when the last time I went to an aquarium, so I was it was like the first time for me and I must say if you have never been to the Georgia Aquarium you should go!  They have so many exhibits and it’s pretty extensive.  They even have it where you can have a slumber party at the aquarium, what kid wouldn’t love that?!  I plan to take my nephew back once he gets a little older because I know he would love it and he will appreciate it more.   To just see the kids running around and touching the starfish and sting rays it was amazing.  They have a Dolphin exhibit and some sort of 3D show that I wanted to see but I thought the baby wouldn’t be able to appreciate it but I wish I would have.  I had so much fun!!!  What can I say ATL rocks baby!!!!  We don’t just do it we do it big!!!!

Another one marked off the list baby!!!!!

Stopping in...

Hi all,

Just sitting around watching Love and Other Drugs so I figured I would stop in for a check-up.  So far so good been thinking about how I'm going to get these things on my list done.  So nervous about so many but if it's on the list it's got to get done. I am about seven months away to my birthday so time is moving.   Been thinking so much about this list I haven't really figured if I'll do anything for my actual birthday.  Hopefully I'll be someplace warm on the beach working on a tan!!!! I have been talking to the girls and maybe a few days in the Bahamas or Jamaica somewhere like that.  I really would love to go back to Mexico but since they are doing so much killing it may not be too safe.  When it’s final I’ll be sure to fill you in though.

I am in the beginning of the second week of Insanity and I must say I am totally in LOVE with the program.  It is kicking my ass but I think that is what I love the most.  It's the most intense experience and I'm riding it until the wheels fall off… LOL or at least until I complete the program.  I look forward to Shawn T killing me each and every day.  I must say if anyone is interested in the program I say go for it just know you got to be ready for the most intense, insane program ever.  I have sweat more in this program than I thought humanly possible… all of that and I’m addicted to it!!!!!!!  Enough I can’t say enough great things but for now I’ll just say stay tuned…

Look what I got in the mail!!!!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend it's a little cold here so it could be better but I guess it could be worse.  I wanted to post yesterday but after I finished helping my sister and her husband move I was beat...Literally!!!!  There was heavy lifting, flights of stairs, and my princess sister standing around watching us all do the work, got to love it.  When I got home I had no energy to much of anything but sleep, couldn’t even get my dirty self in the shower that was how tired I was.  To my surprise my package came days earlier than I expected.

I torn the package open and I was like ok I am ready to dig deep... I am woman hear me roar LOL, all that empowering stuff we tell ourselves to sike ourselves up (I’M BEATING MY CHEST).

It can't be that bad right? Well it depends on what you consider bad... I read and it wasn't much material so I thought it can't be that intense.  Well day one is the a half hours fitness test and don't let the name fool you it's intense.  I finished thinking if this is the fitness test my ass is grass!!!! Talk about sweating and I’m not the type that likes to sweat too much which is why I enjoy strength training more than cardio but this program is mainly cardio so that should be fun. Once you get in it there is no turning back.   I got to do it though it's on the list so day one down 62 days to go.  I'll keep you all updated on how it is going.  I need to run to the market to pick up a few things.  I definitely appreciate the fact the diet is regular food so I got to run... Countdown begins

So as you can see I have a birthday coming up and I'm super excited about it!!!  I swear it just seems like I turned 21 and now I’m knocking at 30's door.  I am welcoming 30 because I think 30 will be great and each year I get better and wiser so I can only be a good thing. I'm ready for the next phase but before it comes there are a few things I want to have under my belt!  BTW why do they call it the BIG 30 I mean it’s just another year and I still feel the same I don’t think there will be a huge AHA moment once the clock strikes 12 midnight on May 14th.   My birthday is May 15th which is why I only have 15 things on my list instead of the generic 30 things the time constraints makes me think I may not be able to fit so much in (I do have a lot going on right now).  I am getting started late but at least I’m getting started.   Give me a little credit here.  I wanted to create this blog to keep me accountable and to share my experience in hopes that others will join and possibly do some things that will take them out of there comfort zones.  I doesn’t hurt that this is one of the things on my list!!! I guess you can say I am the conservative type, very straight edge can’t say I’ve done anything too bad (at least nothing that I will openly admit to).  I keep most everything very close to the hip so this is a lot for me to even left anyone know what I am doing.  I don't really do too many crazy things and someone close to me suggested I come up with a list of things to accomplish before I turn 30.  I was very apprehensive at first because I couldn't think of anything I wanted to do within the next few months but then as we talked more and more about it I was like "ok if I don't say yes he won't get off my back," then I thought " this might be fun."  Plus it’s my opportunity to do something different than the usual preparation for the BIG 30.  You would be surprised what you can come up with when you actually think it.  All but one thing on this list are outside of my comfort zone (spending time with my nephew is easy) so I think this is going to be interesting.  Of course I know everyone is wondering why no extravagant trip on the list well I already started planning a European trip early 2012 so since that was in motion I couldn't exactly list that. So I want to thank you all for joining me on this journey over the next several months, buckle up this should be a good ride.
